First meeting of Global Food Safety Partnership Working Groups

The Global Food Safety Partnership is currently forming 4 advisor working groups:
- IT Working Group (ITWG), whose objective is to support the establishment of the Open Source Platform and related IT resources;
- Communications Working Group (CWG), whose objective is to support the management of internal communications with existing partners (donors, technical organizations, service providers, beneficiaries) and external communications with potential partners and the public;
- Food Safety Technical Working Group (FSTWG), whose objective is to provide technical and strategic input and expertise in the prioritization, design and delivery of GFSP programs and training resources;
- Monitoring and Evaluation Working Group (MEWG), whose objective is to support quality control and to assist in the development of a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and metrics framework to evaluate GFSP activities in order to inform further decision-making, resource allocation, and priorities.
The initial meeting of the working groups is expected for June 2013.
The Governance and Fund Raising Working Group (GWG), to provide recommendations for the long-term operations of the GFSP, will be formed after the 2nd Annual Partnership Conference (December 2013). For more information contact gfsp@worldbank.org.
